There are so MANY twink sites out there on the net that it seems like they’re a dime a dozen. The real trick these days is to find a GOOD twink site. Sometimes that can be hard.
With a prime domain like “twinks.com” you would think that there would a top notch twink site on. Until recently, however, you would have guessed wrong. While there were various incarnations on the domain, they were for the most part pretty crappy. But since Gunzblazing took over the site some eight months ago there has been a wholesale redesign done.. So if you took a look at a previous version of the site, you might want to take another look. I’m pretty sure that you won’t be disappointed with what you see.
Twinks.com has what looks like a transparent tour and that’s all to the good. Any surfer can see exactly what the site is offering. With a transparent tour it is virtually impossible to be disappointed because you know exactly what you’re getting when you join.
A quick look at the tour shows that at the time of review there were some 85 models, 54 jack of(solo) vids, 43 buddy(action) vids, 53 jack off(solo) twink pics sets, and 28 buddy(action) pic sets. Plus it’s all exclusive. As well, all the models are in the magic 18-25 year old segment ranging from the barely legal to nerdy twinks, to nice young athletic fratboys. And they all look like they’re having a fun time!
The tour also has vid previews of the most recent updates. As well the tour outlines all the various bonus feeds/sites, live shows, and the like.
The tour certainly gives the idea that there’s a lot to see but what’s it really like inside? It turns out that the tour is no exactly totally transparent. There’s actually a lot MORE going on that the tour makes out.
The main page is quite full. There’s the tool bar with links to the various sections of the site: Home, Models, Jerkoff Videos, Buddy Videos, Jerkoff Galleries, Buddy Galleries, Stories, XXXCinema, Support. There are section for latest site news, latest updates, links to the site’s bonus sites and a surprise: a link to the archived version of the content of the previous version of the site.
I found the ‘model’ link the best because that section lists all the models alphabetically and includes info about each and every one of their appearances on the site. That’s really useful if you find a particular twink really attractive.
Given the amount of content it’s clear that the site is frequently updated. However, it’s just not clear WHEN those updates happen.
So what about the techie stuff? Twinks.com content is offered in streaming video in FLV and WMV format in a variety of speeds to accommodate just about everyone’s bandwidth connection. The vids are also downloadable in WMV. There’s no DRM encoding on this site so any vids downloaded are yours to watch at your pleasure. The pics sets (600x900 or more pixels) are all good quality and not just video captures.
Members have the opportunity to rate pics and vids on the site so it takes just a glance to find out what other members think any particular scene is hot or not.
Over and above all the new pics and vids, bonus sites and feeds is the twinks.com archive. It is being remastered bit by bit(believe me there’s a lot of it!) to meet today’s standards of quality. In the meantime, however, links in the archive are a bit dodgy. Most work but some don’t.
